Don't get me wrong, Suzuragi is a fantastic artist, but Akio Watanabe has still captured the essence of our beloved games club members and with the additional fact that he is a former animator for SHAFT makes me love it that much more. Had the game been done in Karin Suzuragi's style (the og higurashi mangaka) then it probably wouldn't have been as well received.
Despite the somewhat rough animations in battle, I'm overall elated to be playing this game (with an easy to use translator, yes I shilled out $11 for 200IQ just to use the qooapp servant bite me) I've been a fan of the WTC series for quite some time now, having been introduced to it in 2010, and I disagree with most who say the artstyle clashes with the "aesthetic".
